    传说，殷商末代的商纣王是个穷奢极欲、残暴无道的昏君（参看《助纣为虐》）。“西伯”（西部诸侯之长）姬昌，即后来的周文王，因为反对纣王曾被囚禁，想了很多办法才得以出狱。当时，周的都城在岐山（今陕西省岐山县），周文王回到岐山后，下决心要推翻商朝的统治。他首先聘得军事家姜尚（即姜太公）为军师，积极练兵备战，又兼并了邻近的几个诸侯小国，势力逐渐强大起来。接着，又将都城东迁至丰邑（今陕西省户县附近），准备向东进军。可是，迁都不久周文王逝世了。
    周文王的儿子姬发继位，即周武王。姜太公继续担任军师。武王的同母弟姬旦（即周公），异母弟姬奭（shì）是武王的两个得力助手。同时，武王还得到了其他几个诸侯的拥护。于是，武王正式宣布出兵伐纣。大军在孟津（今河南孟县之南的一个黄河渡口）渡过黄河，向东北挺进，直逼商朝的朝歌（今河南淇县东北）。因为商纣王已失尽人心，军队也多不愿为他送命，于是逃的逃、降的降，起义的起义，朝歌很快就被攻克。纣王自杀，商朝就此灭亡。以后的八百年，便成了周的天下，称为周朝。
    当周武王攻克朝歌之初，对于怎样处置商朝遗留下来的权臣贵族、官宦将士，能不能使局面稳定下来，武王心里还没有谱，因此有些担忧。为此，他曾同姜太公等商议。汉朝人刘向编撰的《说苑·贵法》里有这样一段文字记载：
  “武王克殷，召太公而问曰：‘将奈其士众何？’太公对曰：‘臣闻爱其人者，兼爱屋上之乌；憎其人者，恶其余胥。咸刘厥敌，使靡有余，何如？’”
   大意是说：周武王打败了殷商，召见姜太公，问道：“该怎样对待他们的人员呢？”太公答道：“我听说，如果喜爱那个人，就连带喜爱他屋上的乌鸦；如果憎恨那个人，就连带夺来他的仆从家吏。全部杀尽敌对分子，让他们一个也不留，您看怎样？”
    此外，《韩诗外传》、《六韬逸文》也都有关于周武王和姜太公上述那段谈话的记载，内容基本相同。由于这个传说，就产生了“爱屋及乌”这句成语。

Stan Womack who was an architect in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and business leader died on March 19, and the world seems suffer terribly from his death, said his widow and brother-in-law.

"He was an interesting guy. Very friendly, never heard him say a bad word about anybody. He was a minority, and he wasn't always treated right professionally, but he was not an angry person. He never quit, and he was very well known."

Probably not so well known was his love for "Ms. Pac-Man."

"He spent way more time than enough playing that," said Mary-Ann Franklin Womack, Stan's widow. "Nobody could whip him at it, either. He would stay up until 3 or 4 a.m. fighting 'Ms. PacMan.' He wouldn't quit until he won."

Mary-Ann Womack said her husband loved to travel and dress up for special occasions.

According to information supplied by his family, while in the Air Force in the early 1960s, he designed the first all-steel building in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

In central Pennsylvania, he managed projects for the Harrisburg School District and the Harrisburg Housing Authority, and pioneered the design of the "village concept" design for low-income housing, a model still used for federal housing.

The American Institute of Architects gave him national recognition for his work.

Womack was involved with his adopted city on the social and political level as well.

In September 1988, he was part of a group of minority business owners who alleged that the Harristown Development Corp., whose subsidiaries and affiliated firms constituted the majority owners of the Market Square project, had frozen local minorities out of the $39 million project. Womack acted as coalition spokesman.

By December of that year, minority ownership of the project increased from 25 percent to 33 percent.

Mary-Ann Womack said she really didn't know much about her husband's work until after his death, when she started clearing his office.

She saw all the drawings and photos of work he had done and had in progress.

　中国人25人が乗り組む貨物船が10月19日、洋のソマリア沖で海賊に乗っ取られた。
　ソマリア海賊は中国方面が救援すると、人質を殺すと脅した。
　25人の中、山東籍22人、遼寧籍1人、河北籍1人、江蘇籍1人。
　親族の方々は不安ばかりで辛い毎日。
　

　
　
　

今回は上海から三亜までMU中国東方航空会社の直行便を利用しました。約2時間半かけて、午後の16時20分に三亜に到着＜半額航空券＞。到着後すぐ、迎えに来る運転手さんから電話がかかってきました。（最初の二泊はヒルトンにしました。空港お迎え無料ですので、お願いしました）飛行機から降りたとたん、蒸し暑くて、長袖の服を脱ぎました。三亜、道沿いにヤシの木が多いです、木の上に青い椰子の実が見られます。初めて椰子を見ました。
　
　チェックインの時、ドラマみたいなことにあいました。。。玄関で車を降りると、ベルボーイに荷物を持ってもらい、綺麗な花の輪が贈られ、子供もお菓子をもらいました。気分がよかった時に、ホテルが間違いましたとフロントの係員に言われました。まさか、運転手さんが違うホテルまで送って来たと思いもつかなかった。ここは金茂三亜麗思卡尓頓酒店/THE RITZ-CARLTON SANYA(三亜リッツカールトンホテル)ですよ！本当に情けなかった！でも、このホテルの人は間違ったと知っていても、情熱な態度が変わらず、笑顔で玄関のタクシーまで送ってもらいました。子供はもらったお菓子をそのまま持ってタクシーに乗っちゃった。もう、今度もし三亜に来るのなら、絶対このホテルに泊まると思いました。
　ヒルトンのフロントはリッツカールトンのような豪華さはないんですけど、係員たちの態度は良好。ロビーは立派で、長い木のベンチが気に入り。部屋も望むとおり、大きくて丸いバスが付いてます。
　ベッドは二つあり、くっ付くと、キングベッドより大きいよ！子供を真ん中に寝かせると、転ぶ心配は全然ありませんね。

　泊まる部屋は1号館の5階にあるベランダー付オーシャンビュールームです。プールも海も見られます。

　緑の木々と青い海が目に留まる。気持ちに安らぎのパワーが与えられますね。
　けど、三亜の空は青くない！がっかりしました。当然海も想像より蒼くなかった。日本海の海と空のほうが蒼いと思います。まあ、ビーチはとてもよかったよ、リゾート気分も濃厚でした。
　夕飯はヒルトンの中華レストラン「豊園」で、5500円払いました。たいした料理注文しなかったけど。中国の物価においては相当高かったよ。椰子の実ジュースは一つ30元(約430円)で、新鮮ジュースだと思ったが、結局普通の缶ジュースでした。スーパーでは3元(約43円)で買えますよ。味は悪くありませんでした。骨付きステーキや焼き餃子は美味しかった。ここのデザートはまあまあ美味しいと思います。
　　
　
　　
　夕飯後、ビーチへ散歩。そこにバーベキューがあります。ライトアップしていて、フィリピン人ぽい女性が歌っていました。子供も音楽に合わせて、歌手のよこでダンスしました。＾_＾可愛い！
　夜だから、プールの水は冷たいから、部屋に戻りました。家のバスより大きい、子供はプールで怖い経験があったから、座れる浮き輪を使って入りました。段々興奮して、浮き輪を使わず喜んで歩いてみました。ミニプールのようだね＾＾
　夜の気温は日中より低くて、28度ぐらいかな、クーラーを付けずにベランダーのドアをそのまま開けっ放しで寝ました。布団の代わりにバスタオル。
　翌日の9時過ぎにカフェダイニングへ朝食を。店員さんに空いたテーブルまで案内されました。「どうぞ、こちらへ」と、頻繁すぎるほど言われました。子供はまだ3歳ですから、無料。朝食はバイキングで、種類が多かった。
　
　
　椰子の実がありました。二つを取ってきたが、一つが腐ったみたい、味が変。店員さんはもう一個持ってきてもらいました。冷やしたらしい、ジュースが美味しかったわ。
　10時半まで食べていました。朝昼ごはんでした。その後、キッズ用プールへ。本当に浅かったけど、子供はやっぱり不安で、浮き輪をしっかり掴んでいました。「ママ、私を守ってね！」と心配しながら、プールに入りました。浅いとこは子供のお尻ぐらいだけ。暫くすると、子供は段々大胆になり、少し深いとこへ。「ママ、私泳げるよ～」と楽しそうに。

　午後4時半ごろ、また空港迎えに来た車を使って、三亜湾のビーチ「椰夢長廊」にある「濱海漁村」へ食事に行きました。
　
　海鮮料理を楽しみにしていたのに、あまりも美味しくなかったので、がっかりしました。蟹もウニもまずかった！しかも値段は予想外高かった！蟹一匹、魚一匹、野菜一品、貝入りスープ、ジュースと白ご飯で6000円でした。
　食事後、第一市場へ。果物はやっぱりマンゴ！7元か8元で500グラム。本当に大きいマンゴですよ。安かったわ！（もっと買うべきでした。今も後悔しています。）またジュースを買って、ホテルに戻りました。
　三日目の朝食後、チェックアウトして、荷物をホテルに預けました。9時半からホテルから出て、蜈支洲島へ。これは一日コースを利用しました。車チャーター料と、蜈支洲島、南田温泉入場券料金込みのお得プランです。同じ一日ツアーもありますけど、時間的に不自由で、やっぱり車をチャーターしたほうが楽です。
　蜈支洲島まで船を30分ほど乗らないと。
　
　蜈支洲島の海は亜龍湾よりもっときれいで、ビーチの砂は白いです。
　
　私たちは島のカートに乗って、一周回りました。景色は素晴らしかった。カートに乗らないと見られない場所があります。
　
　島の上に、「媽祖廟」があります。南中国の島にはほとんどあるそうです。＊媽祖は海上の保護神であり、船の安全を祈る主要な神です。
　昼ごろ、南田温泉へ。よかった、人が少なかった。(ツアーの観光客は普通3時ごろに着くと聞きました)温泉プールは全部露天で、男女ともに入れますので、水着を着て入らないと。硫黄泉ではないようです。水はちょっと塩っぽい。初めての「親親小魚」温泉(老化した皮膚を食べるトルコの魚がいる温泉)で、かまれた時はくすぐったかった、いきなり立ち上がった。やっと我慢して慣れて、顔も噛んでもらいたくて、水につけました。唇もかまれましたよ～。魚とキスしっちゃった！
　子供は「いやだ～、怖い、ママここから出ましょうよ～」と。仕方なく、お腹の上に乗せて続けて魚に集中。プールにほかの子もいました、いたずらであっちこっち歩いていました。やっと集まってきた魚はワ～と逃げてしまいました。困りましたね！結局、短い時間でした。漢方のプールへ入りました。魚のお陰で、手足はツルツルになりました！毎日家でこうやって美容したいなあ。。。－温泉にシャワー室があります、タオルもあります
　午後4時ごろにヒルトンに戻りました。荷物を取って、三亜亜龍湾鉑爾曼度假酒店/Pullman Sanya Yalong Bay Resort Spa(三亜プルマンホテル)へ着きました。近いですけど、荷物が多いから、このプランの運転手さんに送ってもらって、助かりました。
　泊まったのは南洋風プール付き別荘。タイ風のはもっと広くて、値段も高いそうです。プール付きで良い面も悪い面もあります。プールは寝室の外にあり、子供から目が離せませんでした。1.3メートルの深さもあり、泳げない私にもちょっと。。。部屋は綺麗ですけど。
 
 
　
小さい子供を連れていくのなら、ヒルトンのほうがよいと思います。ここはカップル向きです。ちなみに、ヒルトンの子供用プールは0.9ｍです。
　
　
　
　
　
 
　プルマンの中華レストラン「水潤軒」の内装はヒルトンの「豊園」に負けますが、料理の価格は少し安い感じ。
　
　朝食は、プルマンもヒルトンも大体同じレベルです。ただ、プルマンはヤシの実がありませんでした。
　
　
　
　魚にあげるパンを用意してありました。子供と一緒にパンを小さくちぎって、魚に投げてやって、魚がそれに飛びつくのを眺めていました。店員さんは優しかったというか、おもしろかった。子供は「緑色のを飲みたい」と言ったら、緑茶を持ってきました。えええ～、3歳の子供に緑茶？(笑)プルマンのビーチはリゾートと繋がってまいせん。専用ビーチまでカートに乗って、道を渡らないと。ビーチは人が少なくて、貝殻が多くて、ヒルトンのビーチよりいいと思います。二階建ての木屋があって、そこで店員さんが海から取った小さい魚を焼いていました。食べてみたら、美味しかった！
　

　
　チェックアウトは午後1時半まで延長してもらいました。その後バーで時間をつぶし、事前予約した空港見送りの車を待っていました。

　帰った後、写真の整理が大変！！！エステも急いでしないと！！！

2、この間の3日間の連休、家に寝すぎのことを避けるため、旅を立ちました。舟山に行きました。中国のある島です。東海の中に位置している島です。初めての島の旅ですので、何かずっと興奮していました。旅の疲れもぜんぜん感じていませんでした。長距離のバスを乗って、船を乗り換え、途中5時間ぐらいかかりました。バスを降りた一瞬、微かな海の匂いに吹かれました。島の上の生活、どうだろうね。その翌日、友達と一緒に海を観にいきました。長いビーチで、裸足でゆっくり歩いていました。波と一緒に踊ったり、歌ったり、ギラギラ輝いてる日差しも気付かなかったです。（今顔が日焼けで赤くなりました）でも、その時の気分が最高でした。

3、いつも「赤い糸」の主演淳ちゃんのブログを見ています。最近の更新スピードも速いです。よく頑張りましたね。「BOSS」も楽しみにしています。残りの僅か、最後まで頑張ってください。

　今、この生活を目指しています。

　九溪というところは、西湖の一つ観光スポットです。杭州の市内より少し離れています。多分この原因で、元々の姿を保存できるかもしれません。今、観光に来る人も多くなっています。家族の旅行、クラスメートの旅行に向きます。空気が美味しい、景色も素晴らしいです。近くには、六和塔、宋城などのスポットもあります。銭塘江は目の前に走っています。

　九溪を出て、六和塔に行きました。ここに来て初めてです。入場券は20元で、塔を登るなら、もう10元が必要です。見所は六和塔を登って、銭塘江を眺めることです。

太湖三白（タイフーサンバイ）：太湖の水産の銀魚と、白魚、白蝦を材料にして作られた料理である。

    元頭渚（エントウジョウ）公園は太湖の西北岸にあり、無錫領内の半島である。その半島の一部の巨大な岩が鼈の頭のように湖面に突き出していることから、その名をつけられ、太湖の名勝の一つである。

   元頭渚公園は太湖の風景の中で最も美しい一角を独占し、山紫水明で、天然の名勝地である。郭沫若はかつて「太湖の一番の見所は元頭渚である。」という詩を歌い、また趙朴初は「元頭渚の景色は天国以上だ。」と称賛した。当代きっての偉人によるこの非常に美しい詩句のお陰で、さらに元渚（エンジョウ）というあでやかな名前は、国の内外問わず広く知られることとなった。

    現在、元頭渚公園には、充山隠秀と鹿頂迎輝、元渚春濤、そして万浪巻雪など十ヶ所余りの観光名所がある。

　人はそれぞれ違っていますね。旅行好きな人もたくさんいます。

　毎年、この頃は旅のハイシーズンですよね。天気もいいし、景色も素晴らしいです。空気が美味しくて、ただの散歩でも一つの楽しみになります。気分転換に役立てますから。

　まぁ、3日間だけでも、どこかに遊びに行こうかな。一緒に行かない

　その後、私、運命と言うことを、信じるようになりました。

結構、長い歴史を持っています。元から城郭も作ったが、文化大革命時期に取り壊されました。

また、「一朝発祥地、二代帝王城」と呼ばれてます。瀋陽は清朝の発祥地で、その一代目皇帝ヌルハチと二代目皇帝ホンタイジが清朝最初の首都として生活したのです。瀋陽市内には二人皇帝が生活してた宮殿（瀋陽故宮）と　二人の陵墓（東陵、北陵）はちゃんと残されてます。

奉系軍閥の首領、張作霖、張学良の拠点でした。二人生活していた「張氏帥府」が観光地になっています。

「奉天事件」、「満州事件」の勃発の地でした。満州事件が起きた場所に「九一八博物館」が立てられました。

満州国時期、「奉天」と呼ばれました。当時瀋陽の半分は満鉄の付属地で、６万あまりの日本人がすんでいました。当時の建物は、奉天駅舎、大和ホテル、横浜銀行などまだ使われてます。

　　中国遼寧省瀋陽市に住み、数年の観光ガイド歴があり、もちろんガイド資格証を持っております。

　交通の上で、マカオ、香港、深セン、広州から珠海へのアクセスが非常に便利です。税関を通ることも簡単。

　珠海のゴルフ場内、コースの作り方、クラブハウス、食事まで日本のままです。この雰囲気はまるで日本の中にゴルフを楽しんでいるような感じです。

　このあたりに、日本の企業－キャノン、カシオとかあります。休日には社内コンベをやる日本人が多く見られます。

個人的には、トイレ別にしたほうが衛生上がいいと思いますが、マンション内装の時に別々にしたくても、配管構造の問題であきらめました。（中国では内装されてないマンションが多い）

３LDKのマンションは普通二つの浴室が設けられています。
日本の浴室にするとしたら、トイレが一つ減ります。
4人家族でトイレ一つだけで足りますかな。。。。

　杭州について、少しわかるようになりました。ここに美しい景色だけじゃなくて、美味しい料理とか、地元の風俗とか、私にとって全部魅力的な存在です。又、ここの人も、花のように、心がよいです。本当にいつもお世話になっています。ですから、大卒後、どこにも行きたくない、ここで暮らすと決定しました。

　杭州の観光スポットと言えば、一番思い出させやすいところは、西湖です。今の西湖は緑の色に囲まれて、もっとも美しくなりました。花もいっぱいに咲いています。それで、霊隠寺、雷峰塔、六和塔、宋城とか、全部有名な観光スポットです。毎日賑やかで、多くの人を集めています。

日本文化に惚れましたということです。中学生の時から日本のメディア製品をきっかけに、日本に興味を持てはじめました。あれから、日本文学の作品や流行文化としてのドラマ、アニメなどをたっぷりと拝見してきまして、日本文化の美しさをしみじみほど感じ取りました。少しづつ分かってきた日本のことは私を私でなければ持っていないものをもたせてくれました。

ここで、みんな仲良くしてください！

1 翻訳文化

  歴史の面から見れば、日本人は非常に翻訳に長けた民族である。また、自分の国家の言葉の特殊性をもって、たくさんの外国の『情報』を翻訳によって入手し、巧みに日本の文化に融合させてきた民族でもある。

  日本人は、明治維新より溯ること1300年前に、欧米に対して行ったと同じことを別の国と言語に対して行っていた。

お気づきの通り、中国と中国語に対することである。今のインターネットや、金融自由化とおそらく同じように、仏教という新しい思想が、日本に入り込もうとしていた。その際、仏教と一緒に大量の仏典が、日本に輸入されてきた。この時、明治時代に、英語や他の外国語に対して行ったのと同じ事を、中国語に対して行った。即ち、漢文で書かれた仏典などを、日本語で注釈する、日本語で漢字を読むことができるようになった。

これは中国人に対して、また奇妙なことである。全部漢文で書かされた古典文書でありながら、日本人にこれを見ると、朗朗と日本語が出てくる。

これこそが、日本人が発明した究極の翻訳技術ではないかと、思われた。つまり、中国語を全くそのままで、日本語として読んでしまう技術である。

この様に、日本人は、翻訳に関しては並外れた才能を持っている。しかしながら、この才能が逆に日本人の外国語の習得を妨げる原因になっている。

明治の頃に英語に対して行ったことと、仏教伝来の頃に中国語に対して行ったことには、一つの共通していることがある。それは、『音』を無視する点である。

翻訳は、意味が採れれば良いのであって、しゃべったり、コミュニケーションしたりすることを目的にはしていない。なお、訳すとその言葉の自体が分かったような気になり、やがて言葉の勉強が軽視されてしまった。

漢文と同じ事を英語に対して行ったので、英語が話せなくなってしまったのと、思われた。

2学校の英語教育

2.1 教師 

私の日本人の友人の話から始めよう。

『僕の中学校の社会科の教師はバイリンガル（第一言語である日本語とともに米軍基地勤務で培った第二言語の英語）です。スラングも理解して、不自由なく英語を使いこなせる人で、発音もほぼネイティブです。先生は高校を卒業してから、大学受験までの二年間ぐらいは、外国に行っていろんなことを学んだそうです。英語も、中高適当に勉強していたということで、実質的には大人になってから身につけたそうです。なぜ英語教師ではないのか、ということを問うと、先生曰く、

「英語はコミュニケーションの手段でしかないから、誰でも経験を積むことによって取得できる。わざわざ僕が教えることでもない。」
  「日本の英語教育に期待していないから、英語教諭になろうとは思わない。」』

私はその先生の答え、特に後者に考えさせられた。

今日本の中学校や高校の英語を教えている先生たちは、英語が得意、あるいは英語が好きで教壇に立っているわけではないと、思われてしまった。つまり、英語が上手な人でなれば、必ず教師よりもっと良い生きる道があるから、教師にはならない。従って、英語があまり上手ではない人達が、逆に教師になったのわけである。この視点から見れば、何故日本人の英語教育がいつもこういう、『どうにもならない』状態なのか、少々分かる気がする。

2.2  制度

  日本人の学校の教育制度は、未だに『受験のため』の制度と、言われている。それは中国も同じなのだが、学校では、学生にいつも試験の問題の解く方法をだけに教える。その結果、いくら書面の成績が良くても、一旦外国人に合ったら、喋り方がめちゃくちゃで、全然コミュニケーションができない。つまり、授業の実用性が足りない。

2.3  授業の実用性

  これもまた、英語の教材に関わる。

  それは中国と同じ情況でもある。即ち、教材は全部『応試教育』の一環として編纂されている。『面白さ』というより、受験に役立てればいいように、教材は英語文字まみれて、まるで辞書のように、はじめから学生たちの求知欲に打撃を与えた。

それから、授業の内容については、主に文書読みや単語読みから始め、後程先生は文中の文法を細かく解析する、めったに学生を呼び、問題を問う。以上から見れば、学生はいつも聞くや見るの方が一方で、喋り機会は殆どない。従って、学校でいくら数多くの単語や文法を学んでいても、それを実際に用いる所がない。

優秀でない先生に硬く設定された教育制度で組み合わせたこういう授業では、優秀な英語人材を育つはずがないと、思われる。

3 社会文化

3.1日本人の性格

  『日本人』の性格は何かというと、シャイでちょっと内気な感じがする、という答えが出てくる。

  一つの言葉を流暢に話せるには、反復の練習や模倣が必要だと思う。従って、シャイな日本人には、何となく他人の目が気にして、自分の英語っぽくに聞こえるジャパニズ・イングリッシュが恥ずかしさが感じてしますから、めったにしないことである。

また、ネイティブの方から英語学習者を見た場合、文法的間違っていたり、発音が若干おかしくても、積極的に発話する人の方がより出来る印象を持つ。そのため、全般的に積極性に欠けている日本人の方があまり上手くない、という印象を受けている。

3.2 必要性

  日本は、長い鎖国の歴史がある。外の世界と繋がりがなくても、ちゃんとこの国で生きる。いわゆる『自給自足』とのことである。  国内だけで生活する限り、日本語さえできれば、十分なのである。

  また、中国人と比べみよう。

  中国の若い者は、もし出世したい、あるいは一流企業に入りたいと思えば、良い英語のコミュニケーション力が不可欠である。しかし日本人の場合は、英語ができなくても一流企業の重役になれる。これもまた、日本人の英語学習への欲があまり強くないの一つの原因だと、思われる。

3.3日本人の心境

  日本人は、外国人と接する機会が非常に少ない。調査(wikipedia)によると、英語を母語とする外国人が 1% も国内に居住していない。もし外人を見たら、きっと動揺して慌ててしまうと思われる。だから、外国人が苦手なので、できれば外人とは合いたくない、と思っている人は少なくないと思う。

  接触さえしなければ、会話の練習もできない。やがて自信が段々と消えていく。

3.4 貧富の差

ここでは、貧富の差と英語力との関り、それは日本人の英語力が低いの要因ではないか、という仮説を提示したい。

日本人は下層の人でも、英語ができなくても生活していける。その意味で「英語の必要性が低い」のではないだろうか？

海外で下層の人たちは、国を越境して仕事を求めたり、観光客相手の仕事をしたりと、英語を知らないと飯の種にありつけないということが根本にあるのではないか？ 独自の文化の中で、まずまずの生活が出来ている人たちが多い日本人からすれば、格差がよほど開かない限り英語の必要性は生まれないと思う。

日本語はまだ苦手だ。
